ARTIST STATEMENT
Sometimes, I think that the key to happiness; is not focusing on the big picture but on the little moments that make up our lives. Over the years, I have depicted small items that reflect a memory or have personal significance to me. When such a moment or sensation settles in my mind, I find a media that seems to fit and try my very best to create a sense of what that feeling is. Visually that may be abstracted, other times literal, or perhaps somewhere on the border of both.
Usually the creation of just a few items is enough for me to record the moment noted, then I move on. At times though, the enjoyment of the media or subject, may turn into the start of a series. It can send me down a rabbit hole of curiosity, which is quite possibly the most wonderful thing of all.
